For this unique performance, Marc O'rell was joined by four outstanding vocalists: Bina Del Soul, Bya, The Hybrid, and Chrizy. Together they perform under the name Mystery Freedom Live and present an exclusive live show featuring only original Mystery Freedom songs. The journey to VestRock Festival started on Friday morning. The drive to the Netherlands was originally expected to take around seven and a half hours, but heavy traffic around Antwerp increased the travel time to almost nine hours. While the journey was longer than expected, the excitement of performing at VestRock Festival kept the spirits high throughout the trip.

For the weekend, they booked a beautiful house in Kloosterzande. The small village is located close to the Scheldt River and offers a peaceful atmosphere that provided the perfect contrast to the energy of a large music festival. After checking in and settling down, they headed directly to the festival grounds. Friday evening gave them the opportunity to explore the venue, experience the festival atmosphere, and enjoy several performances. One of the highlights was watching internationally renowned Dutch DJ Nicky Romero perform on the main stage. Seeing thousands of fans celebrate together created an incredible atmosphere and made them even more excited for their own show the following day.

Saturday started early as they travelled to the festival grounds before the gates opened. They wanted enough time to complete the sound check and prepare everything for their performance on the Novus Stage. However, the day quickly presented a few unexpected challenges. When they arrived, they discovered that only three of the five backstage passes had been prepared for the group. Fortunately, Koen from Tijdverdrijf immediately stepped in and helped resolve the issue. Thanks to his support, all members of Mystery Freedom Live received the access they needed and they could continue with the preparations.

The next challenge appeared during the sound check. As soon as started preparing the stage setup, they realized there were no monitor speakers available for the singers. For a live electronic music performance, proper monitoring is essential because singers need to hear themselves clearly while performing. Without monitoring, delivering a professional show becomes extremely difficult. Thankfully, the VestRock Festival stage management team responded quickly and professionally. Within a short time, they organized two in-ear monitoring receivers for the vocalists. Their fast response ultimately saved the performance and allowed them to continue without major problems.

After the successful sound check, the group spent some time in the backstage area. The artist facilities at VestRock Festival were exceptional. Free drinks, quality food, comfortable seating areas, and even massage services were available for performers throughout the day. More importantly, the atmosphere backstage was incredibly welcoming. Artists, crew members, organizers, and festival staff all contributed to a positive environment where everyone felt appreciated and supported.

At exactly 3:30 PM, Mystery Freedom Live stepped onto the Novus Stage. Hosted by Tijdverdrijf Records, the Novus Stage was one of the festival's most unique attractions. The silent disco concept allowed visitors to enjoy performances through wireless headphones, creating a personal and immersive music experience. For the next 90 minutes, Marc O'rell, Bina Del Soul, Bya, Chrizy and The Hybrid delivered an energetic set featuring original Mystery Freedom tracks performed completely live. Marc O'rell handled the DJing while Bina Del Soul, Bya, The Hybrid, and Chrizy brought every song to life with powerful vocal performances.

The audience reacted with incredible enthusiasm from beginning to end. Throughout the entire show, festival visitors danced, sang along, and shared their energy. The combination of electronic music, live vocals, and the unique silent disco environment created a truly memorable experience. Performing original music in front of an engaged festival audience is always special, but doing so at VestRock Festival 2026 made the experience even more meaningful.

After the performance, they received a large amount of positive feedback from visitors, fellow artists, and members of the festival organization. Many people approached to complement the combination of electronic production and live vocals, while others shared their favorite moments from the show.
